Darwin graduated from the University of the Philippines College of Law in 2010 and was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2011. As a student at the UP College of Law, he was a recipient of several awards for moot court competitions and of four academic scholarship grants. Darwin was also an active member of several organizations, being the Vice President of the UP Law Debate and Moot Court Union, Head of the UP Bar Operations Secretariat, and the Team Captain of the College Volleyball Varsity Team. Darwin also became the UP Law Student Government representative for the University Student Council’s Student Legal Aid and Action Committee from 2009 to 2010.
Since his admission to the Bar, Darwin has acquired training in legal practice from several top-notch law firms and private corporations in the Philippines. He has handled various matters in Corporate Law, Securities Law, Labor Law, Insurance Law, Construction Law, Taxation Law and Real Estate Law, among others. He also serves as a Special Lecturer at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, where he currently teaches Philippine Political System, Administrative Law and Taxation.
